Prince William Sound Glacier Cruises

Alaska Glacier Cruise route in Prince William Sound

The route of our glacier cruise starts from Whittier and ventures into the calm, protected waters of Prince William Sound to view Alaska's glaciers up-close.

Your tour begins at the port of Whittier, and will travel through Passage Canal around Decision Point.  You'll have a great view of Tebenkof Glacier (a Piedmont glacier), as we enter Blackstone Bay.  Following the coastline, you'll have beautiful waterfalls surrounding you on both sides, and we'll also visit with Hidden Falls for a quick photo opportunity.  From Hidden Falls, you'll begin to see the massive Blackstone and Beloit Glaciers off in the distance.  As we approach the glaciers, be sure to watch for falling ice.  We will spend approximately 1 hour with Blackstone and Beloit Glaciers, listening to the noises these active Tidewater glaciers produce.  After viewing the glaciers, you will return back to Whittier, stopping be one of the largest Kittywake rookeries in Prince William Sound before docking.  During your cruise, you will have a chance of seeing sea otters, kittywakes, eagles and possibly harbor seals.
