Employment Opportunities with Major Marine Tours
Seward Wildlife Cruises/Major Marine Tours is a family operated Alaskan business. We have been operating in Alaska since 1990 and offer cruises in both Seward and Whittier, Alaska. Boats range in length from 85' to 115', carrying up to 200 guests. Narration by rangers, freshly prepared all-you-can-eat meal served buffet style onboard, and reserved table seating for every guest are all ways that we stand out as a superior day cruise company in Alaska. It is our mission to provide the highest quality experience at a superior value to our guests. During our cruise season we employ about 50 seasonal employees altogether in Anchorage, Seward and Whittier, Alaska.
Positions Available:
We are currently staffed for the 2008 season in all positions.
Sales Staff: Interact with customers on the telephone, email, and in person to sell and provide information about Major Marine Tours' cruises. Primary objective of this position is to match product with customers' needs and expectations, sell cruises and cruise packages, and process the resulting reservations accurately. Ability to sell, accuracy, speed, and attention to detail are essential. Delivery of exceptional customer service is required.

Boat Crew: The primary objective of this position is to provide exceptional customer service and support, not only during the cruise, but during boarding and disembarking, as well. The safety of each guest is paramount; first aid/CPR training required. Positions vary daily from bartender, cook, buffet and bus person and may include other duties such as cleaning, daily upkeep, stocking supplies, and general deckhand. Participation in pre-employment & random drug testing required.

Inventory Crew: Inventory personnel are primarily responsible for the exterior cleaning and daily stocking of boats with food and supplies. Warehouse duties include receiving and storing food and supply deliveries and rotating and organizing stock on hand. Other duties include, but are not limited to, cleaning of crew quarters, carpet cleaning and light maintenance. This position requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and is great for those who are active and enjoy working outdoors.
Dormitory-style crew housing is available for a small expense in Seward and Whittier.
