Kenai Fjords Half-Day Wildlife Cruises
Join us for a 55 mile roundtrip adventure cruise into the exciting world of Alaska's wildlife. Our half-day Alaska wildlife cruises travel throughout the pristine waters of Resurrection Bay to allow for up close encounters with wildlife. The wildlife cruise will be guided alongside large bird rookeries and sea lion colonies, making plenty of stops for pictures and to view passing whales and sea otters. You will also have the opportunity to view several types of glaciers, including the enormous Bear Glacier which is the largest glacier in the Kenai Fjords National Park.
Our half-day Kenai Fjords wildlife cruises depart daily from Seward, a seaside town located 125 miles south of Anchorage on Alaska's famous Kenai Peninsula. The highly scenic drive to Seward from Anchorage provides countless views of mountains, inlets, lakes, rivers, glaciers and more. If you'd rather use your travel time to sit back and relax while you gaze at the spectacular sights, we are more than happy to arrange roundtrip transportation via motorcoach or the legendary Alaska Railroad.
Major Marine Tours also offers full-day Kenai Fjords National Park Cruises departing from Seward Alaska, and half-day Prince William Sound Glacier Cruises departing from Whittier Alaska. Qualify for discount fares when you book more than one cruise with Major Marine Tours.
National Park Ranger
In order to enhance your on board experience, all cruises are hosted by a National Park Ranger who will provide expert insight into wildlife, glaciers, whale watching and natural history of the area, including events such as the 1964 Great Alaska Earthquake. The Rangers are experts at spotting and pointing out wildlife and are always happy to answer questions about the Kenai Fjords National Park and it's inhabitants!
